Unsupported crypto deposits
If you send an unsupported cryptocurrency to your Safe2transact wallet, the deposit will not appear, and the funds will be permanently lost.
Why crypto deposits can be lost:
- Safe2transact cannot block or reject deposits of unsupported cryptocurrencies.
- Other exchanges or wallets cannot confirm whether a specific asset is supported by Safe2transact.
- Blockchains operate without requiring recipients to approve or accept incoming deposits.
Blockchain transactions are permission less and irreversible. Once a transaction is submitted to the blockchain, it cannot be undone or retrieved. This means that a recipient—such as Safe2transact—has no control over deposits sent to unsupported addresses or networks.
Therefore, it is essential to ensure that you use the correct network, wallet address, and method before transferring cryptocurrency. Failure to do so may result in the permanent loss of funds.
How to avoid unsupported crypto deposits
To prevent loss of funds due to unsupported tokens or networks, follow these best practices:
- Check supported crypto currencies: always verify the list of supported cryptocurrencies on the Safe2transact platform before making a transfer.
You can confirm this by reviewing the list of supported assets here: What types of cryptocurrencies can I trade on your platform?
- Verify network compatibility: ensure that you are using a network supported by Safe2transact (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, etc.) for your transaction. Using the wrong network can result in lost or uncredited funds.
- Conduct test transfers: if you are uncertain about a transfer, first send a small test amount. This allows you to verify that the address and network are correct before sending a larger amount.
